David Dephy

David Dephy ( Georgian : დავით დეფი გოგიბედაშვილი, Dawit Depi Gogibedaschwili ; born June 21, 1968 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian writer and poet .

Life

In 1992 he graduated from the State Art Academy in Tbilisi . Later worked for radio stations , newspapers , and the television station Second Channel with its own author's program MzeRA (dt. Der Blick ).

From 1995 to 2000 he worked in films by the directors Otar Iosseliani and Nana Jordschadze . He is the organizer and participant of various performances and literary evenings. During the Rose Revolution in November 2003 he was one of the organizers of the protests.

On May 21, 2004 he founded the poetic order Samkauli (Eng. The Treasures ). He organized the four-part poets' campaign Four Natural Forces , published the book Samkauli and the two-part audio book Journey Me Heaven . During the Russian intervention in 2008 , he founded the Civil Solidarity Committee and the Stop Russia movement , for which he invented the slogan. In 2008 he realized the poetic project Observatorium , an author reading of his poems with quadrophony in the first performance at the International Literary Forum in Ukraine , Lviv .

In 1993 he began his literary work in prose and poetry . In 1994 the essay book Die Tote Zeit , the description of a human fate in the world at that time, was published. The book contains quotations from the Bible and creates a connection with the human psyche. In 2000 PS appeared. These are dialogues with the book people in authorized texts. In 2003 his three novels were published one after the other: Find Me My Twin Brother , Magic Picture of December and The Morning Before the Miracle . In it the author shows the unlimited phonetic and syntactic possibilities of the Georgian language . The novel Find Me My Twin Brother has been translated into German. In 2008, the main work Demna Gedevanishvili , a two-part novel with prologue and epilogue , and a sequel on the Internet .

In 2003 the collection of poems Smaragd und Saphir was published, a neo-romantic poetry characterized by mysticism and surrealism . In 2006 he followed his poetic trilogy da, ik, za , which consists of three books: "da" (German sister ), "ik" (German there ), "za" (German sky ). It is further research into rhythm and musicality related to human breath and heartbeat. The poem The heart beats is a pattern of the rhythm of the words, the beat and the sound of the words, like a unit of the pulse.

In 2007 the collection of poems Samkauli and the audio book Fahrt mich nach Himmel , which became a cult book among young Georgians, were published. The publication of the poems was accompanied by ritual acts: 1. Natural force fire , a burning of poems, 2. Natural force earth , whereby a pomegranate tree was planted in the courtyard of the Sameba Cathedral and poems were buried in the tree roots, 3. Natural force water , whereby in the open sea bottles with poems were thrown into the water.

In 2008 Gogibedashvili created a new project called High Definition . This is an audio and video album daphiony - Supernova Domine , the part of which Observatory was performed in September 2008 in Lviv, Ukraine at the International Literature Forum .
