Death Breath is a Swedish death metal band.
Band history
Death Breath was founded in 2005. One of the members is Nicke Andersson , former drummer of the death metal band Entombed , plus Magnus "Mange" Hedquist on bass and Robert Pehrsson (vocals / guitar, formerly Runemagick , Deathwitch and now with Thunder Express ). The self-titled debut EP was released in 2006 by Black Lodge Records , where the band has been under contract ever since. Dismember drummer Fred Estby has a guest appearance as a singer on Extended Play . In 2006 the only album Stinking Up the Night was released to date . Estby Scott Carlson ( Repulsion / Cathedral ) and Jörgen Sandström ( Grave , Entombed, Vicious Art ) could also be won as guests . In 2007 the extended play Let It Stink was released with cover versions by Discharge , GBH and Bathory . Relapse Records took over the US distribution of all sound carriers .
Music genre
Nicke Andersson, former main songwriter of the Swedish death metal legend Nihilist wanted to go back to his roots with his new band, which he does not see as a side project. Death Breath sound like Andersson's predecessor Nihilist and early Entombed. The choice of guest musicians also gives an indication of the musical style. Death Breath is a simple old-school Death_Metal that tries to get by without technical finesse. The lyrics are typical Death Metal themes and deal with splatter and horror film themes such as zombies , psychopaths and Satan .
