Deborah Gelisio (born February 26, 1976 in Belluno ) is a former Italian sports shooter .

successes

Deborah Gelisio took part in the Olympic Games three times : in 1996 she took 15th place in double trap . At the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney , she scored 107 points in qualifying in a double trap and went into the final as runner-up. In this she got another 37 hits, so that she finished second with a total of 144 points behind Pia Hansen and thus won the silver medal. After the Double Trap Competition 2008 in Beijing not launched Gelisio part of the Olympic program in the trap competition , which she finished in seventh place.

Gelisio is a nine-time world champion . In 1995 in Nicosia , 1997 in Lima and 1998 in Barcelona she was world champion in double trap and won the title with the team in 1995 and 1997. There is also a silver medal with the team that she won in Barcelona in 1993. In 2005 she was world champion in Lonato and vice world champion in Nicosia in 2007. With the Trap team, he won titles in 2007 in Nicosia, 2009 in Maribor and 2010 in Munich , plus second places in 2005 in Lonato and 2014 in Granada .

In October 2000 she received the Officer's Cross of the Italian Order of Merit for her Olympic success .
