Deckersberg is a district of Happurg in the district of Nürnberger Land in the state of Bavaria and has the license plate LAU.
location
The village is located on a plateau above Lake Happurg or the Förrenbachtal on the road from Happurg to Engelthal .
history
The first documentary mention goes back to 1253. Walther Schenk von Reicheneck assigned the Bailiwick of "Dicolsperg" to the Kastl monastery in today's Upper Palatinate . Then the Wittelsbach ruled over the area. 1302 a feudal lord named Heinrich Dicolsperger was mentioned. In 1358 Emperor Charles IV acquired the feudal lordship over Reicheneck and Deckersberg belonged to the so - called New Bohemian territory. But already in 1373 he sold large parts to the Wittelsbach family. On June 13, 1504, the Free Imperial City of Nuremberg conquered Markt Happurg and Reicheneck Castle with its land area, so Deckersberg also belonged to Nuremberg from then on . In 1525 in the course of the Reformation , the previously Catholic Deckersbergers, decreed by the Nuremberg Council, turned to the Lutheran creed. During the Second Margrave War, Margrave Albrecht Alcibiades destroyed almost all of the larger towns in the area, Deckersberg was largely spared. Even in the Thirty Years' War Deckersberg only played a subordinate role. In 1806 Deckersberg came back to the new Kingdom of Bavaria under Wittelsbach rule .
