action

The young doctor Malu Barstedt meets the attractive and charming Hannes Jäger at a party. But the friendship that developed from it is deceptive and Malu begins to doubt despite being in love. On the one hand, the whole thing goes a little too fast for her and, on the other hand, the man puzzles her. Even at the first trivial dispute, Hannes withdraws offended and does not answer for days. When she finds out that Hannes seems to be hiding something from her and that she is obviously lying, she wants to end the relationship. She tells him this in no uncertain terms, but when she wants to lie down in her bed in the evening, she finds Hannes there, who threatens her and scares her downright. In order to be better physically prepared for Hannes, she starts a self-defense course, but as soon as she is on the way home, she is followed by a car and tries to run over her. Then she turns to the police. Here Malu finds out that a Hannes Jäger is not registered in Berlin and the photos of him have disappeared from her cell phone. This means that she has no evidence of stalking and there is nothing more the police can do for her.

Now Malu's martyrdom begins massive, because the next day Hannes appears as an alleged emergency patient in the clinic where Malu works. Since she can't find anything medically suspicious, she wants to send him away again. Unexpectedly, Hannes stabs a pair of scissors in front of her eyes and claims to Malu's colleagues that he was attacked by her. After she received very negative reviews on the Internet as a doctor, her job in the clinic was terminated. In her mental distress, she also falls out with her best friend Sandra, which means that she is now completely isolated from everyone. So it doesn't take long and Hannes harasses her again in her apartment. Again she turns to Inspector Lehmann, who advises her to move in with a friend or in a hotel. Before she gets there, she has to find out that Hannes has already been back to her apartment. This time he decorated everything with white roses. She discovers an obituary notice from her and on the balcony someone has killed her cat and demonstratively presented it. In her panic, she turns to her friend Sandra, but when she goes to her apartment with her, everything is gone again. As soon as the friends "celebrate" their reconciliation in a restaurant, Hannes turns up there and claims to get 5000 euros from Malu, which she borrowed from him. Sandra then takes Malu into her apartment.

Malu knows that the police can only do something against their tormentor if he is guilty of a direct crime. So she goes on the "escape to the front" and meets with Hannes in his apartment. Sandra has been informed and should notify the police if Malu has not reported back in an hour. When you arrive at Hannes', it doesn't take long and he has figured out your goal. With a syringe he quickly gives her an anesthetic, takes her to the apartment of his girlfriend Nicole, who is right next to his, and ties her to the bed there. While Nicole is supposed to take care of Malu, Hannes looks for Sandra, who he suspects is in the car park but cannot find her there. Sandra calls the police, but Malu can no longer find them in Hannes apartment. The officers drive away without having done anything. Hannes then massively humiliates Malu and makes it unmistakably clear to her that her life would only belong to him. When Nicole realizes that Hannes does not desire her at all, but has arranged everything just for Malu, she wants to kill him with a knife, whereupon he unceremoniously points the weapon at her and severed her neck artery. Malu uses this scuffle to escape, but since Hannes has shut down the skyscraper's elevator as a precaution, Malu can only escape to the roof. There she is found by Hannes after a short time. In her hopelessness she provokes her pursuer, who, as she hoped, moves towards her and she can throw him over the edge of the roof with one of her newly learned self-defense tricks.

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv rated: “The film by Jochen Alexander Freydank is first and foremost a capital thriller that, according to all (conventional) rules of genre art, scares the heroine and leaves the viewer excited. [...] What raises the exciting film, besides the well-functioning cast with Josefine Preuss & Vladimir Burlakov, well above the genre average, is the sensual and meaningful staging. "

In Quotenmeter.de Martin Seng said: "Your life belongs to me 'is a welcome change from the regular romantic comedies home, you get to see on tv. The stalking topic is dark and after the first half hour it becomes clear that you shouldn't expect any humor. The feature film remains consistently serious over its running time of almost ninety minutes, does not try to bring in a comedy in some places and also does not establish any superfluous storylines that could distract from the protagonist Malu and her stalker.
