Paris Saint-Germain drops to 6th place and is ousted by Manchester City and Bayern Munich . After stagnating in the previous edition, the German record champions achieved a whopping 25% growth in sales compared to the previous year and secured fourth place. Borussia Mönchengladbach , a fourth German club, is among the top 30 , mainly thanks to the income from the Champions League. The biggest leaps within the first twenty were made by Atlético Madrid and West Ham United . While Zenit St. Petersburg is the only team that does not come from the UEFA top 5 leagues, the two Italian heavyweights AC Milan and Inter Milan threaten to drop out of the top 20 within the next few editions. In addition, English teams in particular will achieve growth and climb ranks in the future thanks to a television contract that comes into force in 2016, so that a record number of English teams in the top 20 is expected for the next Money League.
With the exception of Everton and Newcastle United , all clubs from the previous edition can be found in the top twenty. A total of eight English Premier League clubs, four Italian, three German, three Spanish, one French and one Russian are among the top 20. In addition, there are four English, two Turkish and one German, Italian, Portuguese and French teams among places 20 to 30.
