Denise M'Baye (* 1976 in Gümse , a district of the city of Dannenberg (Elbe) in Wendland ) is a German actress and singer .

Denise M'Baye comes from a family with Senegalese , Dutch , Indonesian and German roots. Her mother tongues are German and French. In 1994 she passed her Abitur at the Lutherschule in Hanover , where she still lives today. She has two children.

She became known to the German television audience through roles in the series Rote Rosen and Um Himmels Willen . She has also played roles at the Klecks Theater in Hanover, the Staatstheater Hanover and the Neue Theater Hanover .

She also performs as a singer and rapper. In 2002 she released her first solo album Denise M'Baye , followed by album Zwei in autumn 2003 . She is currently performing with the band D-Phunk . In the past she has also worked with Pee Wee Ellis , Mo 'Horizons , Jazzkantine and Deutschland-Phunk . Denise M'Baye sings and raps her self-written texts in German, French and English. She is also involved in social projects, including the Hannover rhapsody project .

On November 25, 2010, she gave a laudation at the Lower Saxony Radio Prize in the School Internet Radio category , in which the radio play AG of KGS Wittmund won first prize.
