Denkiehausen is a district of the municipality Wangelnstedt in the integrated municipality Eschershausen-Stadtoldendorf in the district of Holzminden in Lower Saxony .
geography
Geographical location
The village is about 7 km south of Stadtoldendorf between the Holzberg and the Amtsbergen . To the west is the next town Heinade , to the south is Mackensen .
history
The place already existed in the Middle Ages as "Denkingehusen" and was first mentioned in a document in 1295, when the Amelungsborn monastery acquired four Hufen land. In the early modern times, the Lords of Rauschenplat owned a farm here as well as in Dassel . During its affiliation to the Duchy of Braunschweig , the village was administered from the Wickensen office.
On January 1, 1973, Denkiehausen was incorporated into the community of Wangelnstedt.
