The Ñorquín department is located in the west of the Neuquén province in southern Argentina and is one of 16 administrative units in the province.
It is bordered by the Minas and Chos Malal departments to the north, the Pehuenches department to the east, the Loncopué department to the south and Chile to the west .
The capital of the Ñorquín department is El Huecú .
