The Leales Department is located in the east of the Tucumán Province in northwest Argentina and is one of 17 administrative units in the province. It is bordered by the Cruz Alta department to the north, the province of Santiago del Estero to the east, the Simoca and Monteros departments to the south, and the Famaillá and Lules departments to the west . The capital of the Leales department is called Bella Vista .
