The Vera Department is located in the north of the Santa Fe province in central Argentina and is one of 19 administrative units in the province.
It borders the province of Chaco to the north, the General Obligado and San Javier departments to the east, the San Cristóbal and San Justo departments to the south, and the Nueve de Julio department to the west .
The capital of the department of the same name is Vera Vera .
