history

The Kleine Buch Verlag was founded in 2010 by Sonia Lauinger and has published around 25 titles with three employees in the following four years. The fiction-oriented program included detective novels, women’s and development novels, historical novels, short stories and anthologies . The authors were mostly debutants from German-speaking countries. Sonia Lauinger also founded and organizes the small book fair Bücherbüffet in Karlsruhe.

When in 2014 Schlütersche Verlagsgesellschaft , Hanover , decided for strategic reasons not to continue G. Braun Buchverlag - one of the leading regional publishers in Baden-Württemberg and based in Karlsruhe for over 200 years - Sonia Lauinger took over its entire publishing program as well as the team of G. Braun publishing house.

As a result, the publishing house grew to seven employees and its range to around 320 titles available. With a few exceptions, the Kleine Buch Verlag has continued the program of G. Braun Buchverlag since the autumn program 2014 and has thus expanded its spectrum: In addition to fiction, the focus is now on leisure, regional, cultural and historical topics. Around 30 new titles appear every year. All fiction books as well as numerous titles from the Kleine Geschichte series are available in print as well as e-books .
