Desert Saints is an American thriller / road movie directed by Richard Greenberg from 2002 .

action

The professional killer Arthur Banks is educated but often works for drug traffickers. Usually he seduces a single woman who he uses for a job and then kills. At the beginning of the film, a woman is shown getting out of Banks' car in the desert and fleeing. The killer first wipes the dust off his shoes, calmly takes out his gun and shoots her.

When Banks is supposed to murder a Mexican politician, he drives to Mexico through Arizona . There he met the unhappily married Bennie Harper at a gas station.

Banks is being followed by FBI agents Donna Marbury and George Scanlon, who picked up his lead. He falls in love with Harper, who turns out to be an FBI agent. She calls her colleagues from the hotel from whose window Banks wants to shoot the politician. However, these are directed to the wrong room.

Harper shoots Banks and chains the injured killer to a railing. She leaves the hotel, her colleagues are following her. They later find a wig and discover that they have been chasing the wrong woman. An open locker will then be shown. Harper meets her accomplice (who turns out to be Donna Marbury), with whom she talks about how nice it is to be rich. Nearby you can see the feet of a man wiping the dust off his shoes; you can also tell that the man is bleeding and wearing a white shirt, so it looks like Banks. With that the pictures end, later you can hear a shot.
