Deskati ( Greek Δεσκάτη ) is a municipality in the south of the Greek region of Western Macedonia . The administrative seat of the municipality is the small town of the same name, Deskati.

Diskati municipality is located in southern western Macedonia. While the municipality is slightly hilly in the west by the foothills of the Chasia Mountains and in the middle by the plains of the Aliakmonas , in the east it reaches over 1,600 meters with the Kamvounia Mountains and rises in the north with the mountain range of the Vourinos ( Βούρινος Όρος Vóurinos Óros ) again at over 1200 meters above sea level. The Aliakmonas delimits the municipality both in the northwest and, after a change in direction of flow, in the northeast. Neighboring communities are Grevena in the northwest , Kozani in the north, Servia-Velvendo in the northeast, Elassona in the east and Kalambaka in the south .
Administrative division
The municipality was formed after the administrative reform in 2010 from the merger of the former municipalities Deskati and Chasia . The administrative seat of the municipality is the small town of Deskati. The former municipalities have since formed municipal districts. The municipality is further subdivided into the municipality of Deskati and 7 local communities.
