Prespes ( Greek Πρέσπες ) is a municipality in the north-west of the Greek region of Western Macedonia . The administrative seat of the municipality is Lemos.

The municipality of Prespes is located in the northwest of Western Macedonia on the state border with Albania and North Macedonia. The Small Prespa Lake and the Greek part of the Prespa Lake are located within the municipality and are part of the Greek National Park Prespa and the transnational Prespa Park . The mountain ranges of the Trikalario in the south and the Varnoundas Mountains in the southeast and east form the natural border with the neighboring Greek communities of Kastoria and Florina .
Administrative division
The municipality was formed after the administrative reform in 2010 from the merger of the former municipality of Prespes and the rural municipality of Krystallopigi . The administrative seat of the municipality is Lemos. The former municipalities have since formed municipal districts. The community is further subdivided into 16 local communities.
