Detlef Hartlap

Detlef Hartlap (* 1950 ) is a German journalist . He is the founder of Ostfriesland Magazin , former editor-in-chief of the television magazine prisma and author of travel guides and books about Ostfriesland .

Life

Detlef Hartlap moved to East Friesland in the early 1980s, where he founded the Ostfriesland Magazin , which is published in Norden , in 1984 and served as editor-in-chief. He also headed the island magazines Muschel ( Juist ) and Inselglocke ( Baltrum ).

After further journalistic positions, including as editor at Stern and TV Spielfilm , he became editor-in-chief of the television magazine prisma in Cologne in 1993 . There he wrote the weekly literary column Tisch für Zwei under a pseudonym , which he later published as a book under his real name. In 2016 he retired and handed over his position as editor-in-chief to Florian Blaschke .

Since 1986 Hartlap has also been involved as an author on several books about East Friesland and the East Frisian Islands , including The Foreign Land. East Frisia for Lovers (1986), The East Frisian Islands (1988) and Local History East Frisia (2008). In the early 1990s Hartlap also wrote Marco Polo travel guides for the countries and cantons of Czechoslovakia (1992), Iceland (1993) and Ticino (1993), some of which had several editions and were translated into Dutch .
