Detloff Hauenschildt

Detloff Hauenschildt († January 3, 1703 in Reval ) was a Swedish major general .

Life

Career

Hauenschildt was born in Germany in 1618 at the latest , as his father of the same name, who served Gustav II Adolf in the war against Poland , died before 1619. Like his father before him, Hauenschildt joined the Swedish army and was in the service of the Queen as a lieutenant from August 1644 . In 1650 he was promoted to captain and in 1655 to major . On December 17, 1651 he was raised to the Swedish nobility . With his promotion to lieutenant colonel in December 1657, he was transferred to the Österbotten regiment. There he was deputy commander from May 28, 1659 to April 1660 . In the Second Northern War he got in 1659 in Goldingen in Polish captivity, but was released again in the same year. In 1673 he was regimental commander of Ostrobothnia Regiment. On September 4, 1691, Hauenschildt received his departure , but was promoted to the rank of major general in 1696 . He was heir to the Estonian manor Waoküll and was buried in Reval.

Hauenschildt was married to Maria von Rosen for the first time and to Sophia Helena von Nieroth the second . As follows, both marriages resulted in a total of two sons and three daughters.
