Projects

The DRG is pursuing a large number of projects:

Student exchange

The student exchange takes place once a year between a school class with knowledge of German or a group of students from a Romanian school and students from a Berlin school. The students are accommodated in host families with young people of the same age, in whose classes the students take part. The duration of a student exchange is 2 to 3 weeks and takes place alternately in Germany or Romania.

Jour fixe

The DRG invites you to a monthly jour fixe with one speaker each. There are readings by authors or lectures followed by a discussion on a wide range of topics: history of Romania, current political situation in Romania, book presentations and readings.

Study trips

The DRG organizes study trips to different regions of Romania for members and non-members . The aim is to make Romania's rich cultural and natural landscapes, which are very different from region to region, known and at the same time to enable encounters with people in their respective life situations. The previous study trips led to the Vltava monasteries , the Danube Delta , the Black Sea , Transylvania , Muntenia , the Maramures and the Banat .

German-Romanian notebooks

With the magazine "Deutsch-Romanische Hefte", which appears twice a year, the DRG addresses a broader public in order to arouse interest and impart knowledge through scientific and general cultural contributions to Romania's past and present.

Small scholarships

The DRG has been working together for many years with the “Sigismund Toduta” music school in Cluj-Napoca . Every year, small scholarships are awarded to three particularly talented and needy students. One-off small scholarships are also possible for students from Romania studying in Berlin or can be requested for cultural projects.
