German sports conference

The German sports conference was between 24 June 1970 and 18 April 1985, the equal representation of the coordinating body between the government responsible for sport bodies (federal, provincial and municipal) and the Sport Self-Government ( German Sports Federation , National Sports frets). The conference consisted of 32 members. The chairmanship changed between the President of the DSB (initially Wilhelm Kregel ) and the Federal Interior Minister responsible for sport (initially Hans-Dietrich Genscher ). Since it was mainly party politicians on both sides who set the tone and made proposals that could hardly be financed by consensus, the Conference of Sports Ministers was subsequently founded on the state side in 1977, analogous to the Conference of Ministers of Education (without permanent representatives from the sports organizations).
