Diana Quick
Diana Quick (born November 23, 1946 in London ) is a British actress .
Life
Diana Quick grew up in Dartford , Kent, the third of four children of a dentist, where she also attended girls' school. She then went to Lady Margaret Hall , Oxford, and finally studied at Oxford University , where she became the first woman president of the Oxford University Dramatic Society . Even while she was still in school, she tried her hand at acting and was at times celebrated as one of the most beautiful young actresses in Great Britain. She gained fame in 1981 with her role as Lady Julia Flyte in the successful British television multi-parter Reunion with Brideshead .
Private
Diana Quick was married to Kenneth Cranham for the first time . In 1981 she met Bill Nighy at the Royal National Theater in London , with whom she was dating until 2008. They have a daughter, the actress Mary Nighy (* 1984).
