history
The first plans to build a refuge on this site were made in 1899 by the Castelrotto section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club . After several provisionally operated smaller huts in the area, the Bolzano section of the South Tyrol Alpine Club built the Puflatschhütte between 1964 and 1968. It was planned and run as a youth home, later used as a shelter and mountain restaurant. In 2006 the hut was sold and since a renovation in 2007 it has been run under the name Dibaita.
