use
Dichloroctylisothiazolinone is used in underwater paints , as a wood preservative and in silicone sealants.
The annual consumption in Switzerland was estimated at 1 ton in 2007.
Admission
Dichloroctylisothiazolinone is approved for use as a biocide in the European Union. In Switzerland it is approved for biocidal product type 8 (wood preservatives).
