Reviews

The Kinderfilmwelt website is full of praise for the film:

“As is typical for fantasy fabrics, 'The Guardian of Truth' also takes place in a world that appears to be medieval. Not only are the locations well chosen and the costumes just as convincing as the special effects, the dark plot also helps ensure that the story is coherent in itself. Nothing here looks like a 'medieval disguise' full of noble knights and neat peasant women; Dina's world is rough and dirty, there is poverty and violence, greed for power and curiosity. As a result, the fantastic story appears incredibly realistic and immediately captivates you with its gripping atmosphere! "

The film magazine Cinema also praised the film:

“The extremely exciting film adaptation fascinates with the authenticity of the sets, opulent cinema images and an extremely gloomy atmosphere - with characters that are sometimes even more sinister and terrifying than the giant lizards in the castle's cellar dungeon. The power-hungry mother of the dragon lord Drakan is likely to bring bad dreams to many younger cinema-goers. "
