Dietlef Niklaus

Dietlef Niklaus (born March 6, 1928 in Stettin ; † September 13, 2016 in Einbeck ) was a German educator and university lecturer. Most recently, he was professor emeritus for education at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen .

Life

After the Second World War, he completed several courses in succession at the University of Göttingen . From 1951 he studied at teaching what he did with the state exam completed. At the beginning of the 1950s he worked as a young teacher and local youth worker in Sievershausen (Dassel) . In 1958 he began studying German and history, which he added from 1970 to include education , philosophy and political science at the same university. There he was in 1976 with a thesis on authority and leadership behavior at school: empirical research contributions to the problem of authority and participation in school for Dr. phil is doing his doctorate. From 1976 he was a university lecturer in Göttingen and from 1980 professor for school education.

In 1985 he was made an honorary member of the New York State Foundations of Education Association. After his retirement he lived in Dassel .

For a time he was also chairman of the advisory board of Evangelical Adult Education in Lower Saxony .
