Dietrich Berg

Dietrich Berg (born January 12, 1935 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German gynecologist and obstetrician.

Live and act

Dietrich Berg was born in Hessen in 1935 . He studied medicine at the Free University of Berlin and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . He became active in the Corps Normannia Berlin (1955) and in the Corps Borussia Greifswald (1958). It was in 1961 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main Dr. med. PhD . There he later completed his habilitation there. At the Frankfurt University Hospital he worked under Otto Käser and Heinrich Schmidt-Matthiesen and was appointed professor there in the spring of 1973 . In September of the same year he went to the gynecological clinic in St. Marien Amberg as chief physician , which he managed until his retirement in 2001.

Dietrich Berg was a member of the editorial board of the magazine Der Gynäkologe for the CME training - certified training section . He was President of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics from 1996–1998 and organized its 1998 congress in Nuremberg . 1984–1986 he was President of the German Society for Perinatal Medicine. He was also chairman of the Bavarian Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology.
