Klaus Ulsenheimer

Klaus Ulsenheimer (born April 13, 1940 in Duisburg ) is a German lawyer , attorney , specialist in medical law and adjunct professor of criminal law and criminal procedure law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Life

As the son of the married couple Roland Ulsenheimer and Paula Ulsenheimer, geb. Rothdauscher, Klaus Ulsenheimer grew up in his native Duisburg. There he attended the humanistic Landfermann Gymnasium until he passed his school leaving examination on February 3, 1959 . He then studied at the Universities of Freiburg , Berlin and Bonn law . He passed his first state examination in law on July 17, 1963 at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court . Ulsenheimer then did not stay in the state judicial service, but began at the University of Bonn, with the criminal law scholar Hans Welzel with his dissertation The relationship between breach of duty and success in negligence offenses (co-referee Gerald Grünwald ). At the same time, he began his second degree in economics in the winter semester of 1963/64 at the same faculty . Immediately after receiving his doctorate as Dr. jur. on December 21, 1964 he took up the position of a scientific assistant on January 1, 1965 at the side of the professor for criminal and criminal procedural law at the Ruhr University Bochum , Gerd Geilen , where he resigned on July 31, 1966 at his own request . Ulsenheimer initially wanted to concentrate on the completion of his dissertation , which he had begun in April 1965 and was inspired by M. Ernst Kamp, to focus on the concept of financial constitution (co-referee Fritz Voigt ), which he completed in June 1967 with his doctorate as Dr. in economics and humanities (Dr. rer. pol.). In 1970, Klaus Ulsenheimer finally passed the second state examination in law in Munich . In the summer of 1974 he completed his habilitation at the law department of the Ruhr University Bochum and in the following year his practice as a lawyer in Munich. He then built up a medical law department in a well-known law firm there , which works with the Association of German Anesthesiologists (BDA), among others .

In addition to his participation in the law firm, Klaus Ulsenheimer received a teaching position as a private lecturer at the University of Munich in 1975 . In 1981 he was appointed adjunct professor for criminal law and criminal procedure law. His CV now includes around 300 scientific publications as well as a large number of lectures, especially in the field of medical and medical law, where he helped shape legal doctrine and law. He prepared a risk management report for the Clinic for Anaesthesiology at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . He is a member of the editorial committee for the medical law section of the medical journal Der Anaesthesist and from 2002 was co-editor of the journal Anesthesia, Intensive Medicine, Emergency Therapy, Pain Therapy (AINS). Ulsenheimer is among other things co-editor of the journal “Medizinrecht” and since 2000 of the “DIOmed-Aufklärungssystem”. He is also a member of numerous committees and boards of trustees.
