Dimitri Stapfer

Dimitri Stapfer (born June 10, 1988 in Olten ) is a Swiss film and theater actor.

Life

Born in Olten in 1988, Dimitri Stapfer was already on tour in Switzerland for two seasons with the Chnopf circus at the age of 13. He completed his acting studies at the Zurich University of the Arts in summer 2014 with a master’s degree. In the 2013/2014 season, Stapfer played in the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Zürich . After graduating, he immediately initiated the piece A LOVELY PIECE OF SHIT with the EXTRALEBEN collective, with which he toured Germany and Switzerland. In the 2013/2014 season, Stapfer played in the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Zurich and then made several guest appearances at the Theater am Neumarkt and the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn . From 2016 to 2018 Stapfer was a permanent member of the new ensemble of the St. Gallen Theater. 

In addition to his work at the theater, Stapfer can be seen in film and television productions and also works as a speaker for radio plays and commercials.

For his portrayal of the autistic Mika, Dimitri Stapfer received the Swiss Film Prize (2014) "Quartz" for the best supporting role in the movie "LEFT FOOT, RIGHT FOOT" (director: Germinal Roaux).
