Dimitrios Mastrovasilis ( Greek Δημήτριος Μαστροβασίλης , born June 12, 1983 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek chess player .
He played for Greece at nine Chess Olympiads : 2000 , 2004 to 2018 . He also took part in seven European team championships (2005 to 2017) and in the team world championship (2010).
At the FIDE World Championships 2004 in Tripoli , he failed in the first round to Konstantin Sakayev . At the 2017 World Chess Cup in Tbilisi , he failed in the first round to Ivan Cheparinov .
In 2002 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2003.
He is the younger brother of the Grand Master Athanasios Mastrovasilis (* 1979).
