Dingelsdorf is a district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg .
Dingelsdorf forms one of the 15 districts of Constance and is at the same time a locality within the meaning of the Baden-Württemberg municipal code with a local council and a local administration.
history
The earliest human artifacts in the Dingelsdorf area date from around 6000 BC. At that time, hunters and gatherers had already set up camp there, as evidenced by finds of projectile tips and flint tools (microliths).
In the Neolithic, around 4000–2400 BC. BC, farmers who belonged to the pile farmers settled this region for the first time, which is documented by the finds of pottery vessels, spindle whorls, stone axes and charred grain residues. With the help of dendrochronology , an oak pile of the pile dwellings on the Klausenhorn could be dated to 3826 BC. To be dated.
The above-mentioned finds can be viewed in the pile-dwelling exhibition in the Dingelsdorf town hall.
The village was first mentioned in a document in 947 as Thingoltesdorf. King Otto I confirmed the donations made by his ancestors to the Reichenau monastery.
In 1272 the village was transferred by the Lords of Langenstein to "the Teutonic Order Commander Mainau" and "after the transition to Baden in 1805 it was assigned to the Constance Office."
