The shore of Lake Constance (Gmk. Litzelstetten, Dingelsdorf, Dettingen) is a nature reserve in the area of the Constance districts of Litzelstetten , Dingelsdorf and Dettingen in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg in Germany .
The protected area covers around 247 hectares of the shore and shallow water zone of the Überlinger See , which is spread over three separate areas between the villages of Wallhausen and Litzelstetten . The first sections were designated as a nature reserve as early as 1961.
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of the agriculturally used sub-areas as the remains of the still undeveloped shores of Lake Constance as well as the shoreline with reed beds, large sedge beds and species-rich marsh grass meadows.
