The Mühlhaldenweiher area is a nature reserve designated by ordinance of December 17, 1991 (NSG number 3.185) in the Baden-Württemberg district of Konstanz in Germany .

location

The approximately 18.6 hectares large and consists of two subareas nature reserve Mühlhaldenweiher is one natural area to Hegau . It is located in the district of Dettingen , about ten kilometers northwest of the city center of Konstanz, between Dettingen in the northeast and the village of Kaltbrunn, which belongs to Allensbach, in the west, at an average altitude of 443  m above sea level. NHN .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the Mühlhaldenweiher wetland, a still halfway intact, significant wetland as a link between the bogs of the lower and middle Bodanrück and the habitat of rare and endangered animal and plant species.

Connection with other protected areas

With the Mühlhaldenweiher nature reserve , the FFH area “ Bodanrück and west of Lake Constance ” (DE-8220-341), the bird reserve “ Bodanrück ” (DE-8220-402) and the landscape protection area “ Bodanrück ” (3.35.009) are contiguous protected areas expelled. (As of May 2018)
