The Ziegeleiweiher Rickelshausen is a nature reserve in the area of ​​the communities Radolfzell on Lake Constance and Singen in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg . It covers 19  hectares and was designated as a nature reserve in 1993. The peculiarity of the area results from its water surface with reed beds , pipe grass meadows , rush meadows and sedge meadows as well as moist farm meadows and a pedunculate oak and hornbeam forest in close connection with the wetland.

Protection purpose

According to the Protected Area Ordinance, the main protection purpose is the preservation of water areas and riparian zones with reed beds as a habitat for rare and endangered bird species, the preservation and development of pipe grass meadows, rush meadows, sedge meadows and humid farm meadows as a habitat for partially endangered plant species and as a food base for numerous animal species as well as the preservation and development of the Pedunculate oak - hornbeam forest as a deciduous forest community that is closely interlinked with the wetland.
