The Binninger Ried is a nature reserve in the area of ​​the city of Engen and the municipality of Hilzingen in the Baden-Württemberg district of Konstanz in Germany .

The 71.5 hectare protected area southwest of the Engen district of Welschingen has been designated as a nature reserve since December 21, 1992. It is drained by Rütebach and Riedgraben west-southwest to the Biber . The Binninger Baggersee is directly adjacent .

meaning

The area is a mosaic of typical wetland vegetation units such as wet meadows and pastures, tall herbaceous communities , reeds and deciduous forests. The habitat for endangered plant and animal species contains extensively used rough meadows as a habitat for threatened bird species, especially for meadow breeders .
