The Buchenseen nature reserve is located in the municipality of Radolfzell on Lake Constance in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg in Germany .

Geographical location

The protected area, designated as a nature reserve in 1939, is located southwest of the Radolfzell district of Güttingen and east of the Buchensee .

The area of the two lakes, also Güttinger lakes called around eleven includes hectares of residual chain of lakes in the Drumlin northwest -Landscape of Lake Constance . In the open water, the waters have stocks of water lilies and on the banks there is well-developed intermediate moor vegetation with a gradual transition to the vibrating lawn belt .
