The Gailinger Berg-Bölderen area is a nature reserve designated by ordinance of July 8, 2004 (NSG number 3.269) in the Baden-Württemberg district of Konstanz in Germany .

location

The two sub-areas of the approximately 52 hectare nature reserve Gailinger Berg-Bölderen naturally belong to the Hegau . They are in the tubs "Alliger", "Bölderen", "Dellen", "Eble", "Gäher Rain", "Grüthau", "Hintere Genter", "Hinteres Gereut", "Im Berg", "Kleiner Berg", "Namen", "Obern" and "Züricher" in the area of the municipality of Gailingen am Hochrhein , north and northwest of the center of Gailingen, at an average altitude of 503  m above sea level. NHN . The eastern sub-area extends over slope areas above Gailingen's location in the east from Gewann “Im Berg” to the west to the Gewannen “Dellen” and “Kleiner Berg” at the Jewish cemetery . The western part of the area extends in the east from the "Hintere Genter" area at the Jewish cemetery to the "Hinteres Gereut" area in the west near the border with Switzerland .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the "richly structured, protected slope sections on the Upper Rhine, which include in particular wetlands, spring outlets, limestone grasslands, poor meadows, fringes, orchards, natural shrubbery and deciduous forests, and which are the habitat of numerous, sometimes rare and threatened animal and extinct Plant species serve ”.

The following habitat types are identified in the Gailinger Berg-Bölderen nature reserve :

  • 6210 - Trespen fescue lime dry lawn
  • 6410 - Pipe grass meadows on calcareous, peaty and clayey-silty soils
  • 6510 - Lean, lowland hay meadows
  • 7220 - Tufa springs
  • 7230 - Lime-rich fens
  • 9130 - Woodruff beech forest
  • 9150 - Orchid beech forest
  • 9170 - deciduous oak hornbeam forest

The grassland vegetation of the humid locations in the protected area mostly consists of complexes of whistle grass meadows and cabbage thistle meadows and swamp rush meadows . The focus of these plant communities, which are rare in the natural area, is in the “Bölderen” area.

Grasshoppers (Orthoptera)

Among the grasshoppers, species with “high” demands on dryness and warmth are strongly represented.

Butterflies (Lepidoptera) or moths

The group of butterflies is represented in many ways with over thirty species in the area, with a number of rare species the importance of the area with its poor meadows, its fringing structures and its woody plants for the fauna is particularly clear.

Birds (aves)

The high density of field trees , wetlands and the low intensity of use offer numerous bird species feeding and nesting opportunities.

Connection with other protected areas

With the nature reserve Gailinger mountain Bölderen is FFH area " Gottmadinger Eck " reported (DE 8218-342-) as a continuous reserve. (As of April 2017)
