The Heudorfer Ried area is a nature reserve (NSG number 3.131) designated by ordinance of December 30, 1983 in the Baden-Württemberg district of Konstanz in Germany .
location
The approximately 22 hectare large nature reserve Heudorfer Ried is one natural area to the Danube Ablach plates . It is located in the Heudorf district in the community of Eigeltingen , east of the district road 6113, at an average altitude of 620 m above sea level. NHN . In the north it is bordered by the Weihergraben and in the south by the Riedgraben .
Protection purpose
The main protection purpose is the preservation of a low moor basin formed by the Ice Ages , "the only larger wetland in eastern Hegau as a habitat for numerous rare animal and plant species, some of which are endangered".
