The Bodenseeufer-Untere Güll area is a nature reserve designated by ordinance of April 19, 1991 (NSG number 3.179) in the area of the Baden-Württemberg city of Konstanz on Lake Constance in Germany .

location

The 48.6 hectares large nature reserve of Lake Constance Lower-Güll is one natural area to Hegau and Lake Basin . It is located in a small, shallow bay in the Überlinger See , directly northwest of the dam that connects the island of Mainau with the mainland and southeast of the Litzelstetten district , at an altitude of 400 m above sea level. NN . In the land maps, the districts are marked with Konstanz and Litzelstetten . The protected area emerged from a section of the nature reserve " Bodenseeufer (Gmk. Litzelstetten, Dingelsdorf, Dettingen) " with a considerable expansion .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the protected shoreline landscape including the protected part of Lake Constance as a habitat for numerous animal species, some of which are threatened with extinction, in particular as a nationwide important resting, breeding and wintering area for water birds, as well as keeping away disturbances for the protected Lake Constance bay occurring and very good living conditions there found water birds .
