Walter von Bonhorst

Walter von Bonhorst (born October 21, 1904 in Frankfurt am Main ; † May 21, 1978 in Schweinfurt ) was a German film editor . Married to Hildegard von Bonhorst. Three daughters: Renate, Charlotte and Erika. Second marriage to Carla von Bonhorst.

Life

He began his professional career in 1924 as a camera assistant and switched to film editing in 1935 . From 1939 he worked for the Tobis , most recently for the UFA . After the end of the war he continued to work for German production companies. Shortly before his 70th birthday, he retired from the film business and spent the rest of his life in southern Germany.
