Dirk Vaihinger (* 1968 ) is a German film editor .

Act

From 1995 Vaihinger worked for the Frankfurt studio and video production company Das Werk . There he was also involved in setting up the branches in Munich and Berlin . He has been working as a freelance editor since 1998.

In his early days in Munich, he cut a few short films and Wim Wenders ' promo video (2000) for the U2 single The Ground Beneath Her Feet , which was also used in the 2002 video documentary U2: The Best of 1990-2000 . Four parts at dawn (1999) by Norbert Keil was chosen among other things in the opening act for the German theatrical version of Scream 3 and included as an extra on the German DVD versions. Mennan Yapo's directorial debut, Framed , was nominated for the German Film Prize , among other things .

In 2001 he moved to Berlin. In 2004 he worked again with Mennan Yapo and edited his first feature film production , the hit movie called Lautlos, produced by Tom Tykwer . He then cut several television series episodes in addition to other feature films.
