Disney's Tarzan is an American animated series that was produced between 2001 and 2002. In 2002, the feature film Tarzan & Jane was released to the series, which contains episodes 37 to 39 of the series. Before the series started, the Disney film Tarzan was released in 1999 and the sequel Tarzan 2 was released in 2005 . The series is also the first completely digitally animated cartoon series.

The series revolves around Tarzan's adventures in the jungle. His old friends Terk and Tantor, his wife Jane and their father Professor Porter are at his side. Tarzan usually becomes the hero of the other jungle inhabitants.

Production and publication

The series was produced by Disney Television Animation in the United States between 2001 and 2003 . 39 episodes and several specials were created.

The series first aired on September 3, 2001 on Toon Disney . The German premiere took place on February 1, 2003 on ProSieben . Other broadcasts on German-language television also took place on Disney Cinemagic , Disney XD , Kabel eins , Disney Channel , ORF eins , SRF Zwei and Puls 8 .
