Michael Terry Weiss (born February 2, 1962 in Chicago , Illinois ) is an American actor and voice actor .

Life

Michael T. Weiss' father was a senior executive in the steel industry , his mother was a housewife. His acting career began as a child when he was shooting commercials for local television stations.

He attended Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook , Illinois. In high school, he was a member of the swimming team and played basketball . He was also an active member of the student council. During his time in high school, he learned to act at The Second City acting class . In 1980, at the age of 18, he played his first film role as an extra in the film A normal family .

He attended the University of Southern California . Shortly after his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1984, he got his first real role as Dr. Mike Horton in the time of longing . He also worked for a while as a personal fitness trainer ; many of his clients were fellow actors, including Pierce Brosnan and James Brolin .

He was best known for his role in Pretender . He also starred in Jeffrey , the 2000 Malibu Road soap opera, and a recurring guest on Crossing Jordan and Profiler .

He also lent his voice to The Nameless One , the hero of the computer game Planescape: Torment . He also spoke Tarzan first in The Legend of Tarzan and then in 2003 in the cartoon Tarzan & Jane . In recent years he has played more and more theater, in Boston, Los Angeles and New York - most recently on Broadway in the world premiere of Impressionism with Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen .

In 2011 he took on the role of Detective Sonny Malevsky in four episodes in the series Blue Bloods - Crime Scene New York .
