The Dittenheimer Mühlbach ( called Gärtleinsgraben on the upper reaches ) is a right tributary of the Altmühl near Dittenheim in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .

The Dittenheimer Mühlbach rises as a Gärtleinsgraben in a spring -rich area northeast of the Yellow Mountain at an altitude of 463  m above sea level. NN at the north foot of the Hahnenkamm southwest of Dittenheim not far from the border to the market town of Meinheim . From a pond on the southern edge of Dittenheim there is a name change from Gärtleinsgraben to Dittenheimer Mühlbach. The brook flows through, partly channeled, Dittenheim. ZEr passes under State Road 2230 and the Würzburg-Treuchtlingen railway line . After a run of around 3.8 kilometers, the Dittenheimer Mühlbach flows not far from the municipal boundary to Theilenhofen at an altitude of 411  m above sea level. NN northwest of Gundelsheim an der Altmühl from the right into the Altmühl.

The stream initially flows steadily in a north-easterly direction, from Dittenheim in an easterly direction and crosses a wide open landscape in the Altmühl valley . The only tributary is an unnamed river, about 1.7 kilometers long at the mouth, which runs directly on the Yellow Mountain at an altitude of 556  m above sea level. NN rises ( location source ) and flows southwest of Dittenheim ( location mouth ).
