Dixanthogen or EXD is a chemical compound from the group of disulfides and thiocarbonic acid esters .

Extraction and presentation

EXD can be obtained by reacting sodium ethoxide with carbon disulphide and then oxidizing it.

use

EXD is used as a herbicide and ectoparasitic , especially as an anti- dross agent , xanthoscabin . EXD also plays a role in the flotation of sulphidic ores. EXD is not approved as a crop protection agent in the European Union or Switzerland .
