The Djukbinj National Park is a 131 km² large park in the north of the Northern Territory , Australia .

The park is 59 km east of Darwin . It consists of two parts, the Cape Hotham sector in the north on the coast, and the Marrakai sector along the Arnhem Highway , which are separated by an approximately 25 km wide strip of pastureland. The Adelaide River flows through both parts . The northern sector can only be reached by boat.

As part of the vast “wetlands”, the swamp and rainforest areas of the Australian Top End , the national park is home to a large number of water birds, including the cracked geese , herons and brolga cranes . Endangered animal species include a. the mini-sacred marten , the river shark Glyphis garricki , Mertens water monitor and the argus monitor, as well as endangered plant species the cycas armstrongii .

The administration is subject to the Parks and Wildlife Commission of the Northern Territory together with the local Aborigines of the Limilngan-Wulna tribe, the traditional owners, from whose language the name of the national park was taken
