Dmitri Anatoljewitsch Blinow ( Russian Дмитрий Анатольевич Блинов ; born May 25, 1987 in Ustinow ) is a Russian biathlete .
Dmitri Blinow made his international debut as part of the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2006 in Ufa , where he won the silver medal in the sprint behind Pavel Magazeev on roller skis and just missed another medal in fourth place in the pursuit. In the following season he took part in the junior races of the Biathlon European Championships 2007 in Bansko and was there 19th of the individual, 29th of the sprint, 20th of the pursuit and won Timur Abashev, Anton Schipulin and Viktor Wassiljew the title in the relay race. The 2007 Summer Biathlon World Championships for Juniors in Otepää were successful again , where he won silver medals in both the sprint and the pursuit behind Krassimir Anew . Also at the biathlon junior world championships 2008 in Langdorf Blinow won the relay title with Magazeev, Schipulin and Wassiljew. In addition, behind Jean-Guillaume Béatrix and Schipulin, he was third in the individual, 12th in the sprint and eleventh in the pursuit. Also in the junior races of the Biathlon European Championships in 2008 Nové Město na Moravě , the Russian won the title with his teammates of the World Cup relay and was eleventh in the sprint and tenth in the pursuit. The last major event among the juniors for Blinow was the 2008 Summer Biathlon World Championships in Haute-Maurienne . There, too, he won the mixed relay with Irina Maximowa , Walentina Nasarowa and Vasiljew and came in sixth in the sprint and fifth in the pursuer.
After Blinow did not make the transition to the performance area immediately, he was able to complete his next international assignments after a year, now with the men. At the end of the 2009/10 season he made his debut in Pokljuka in the IBU Cup and won 31 points in the first sprint. Two days later he achieved his first podium finish in the same place in a sprint with second place behind Daniel Graf and at the same time his best position in the racing series to date.
