Dmitri Olegowitsch Bulykin [ ˈdmʲitrʲɪj ʌˈlʲɛɡəvʲɪtʲɕ buˈɫɨkʲɪn ] ( Russian Дмитрий Олегович Булыкин ; born November 20, 1979 in Moscow , alternative spelling: Dmitrij Bulykin, spelling of the club: Dmitri Bulykin ) is a former Russian football player . The striker was under contract with the Volga Nizhny Novgorod until the end of the 2013/14 season .
Club career
The striker played for PFK ZSKA Moscow and Trudowye Reserwy Moscow in his youth before moving to Lokomotiv Moscow's youth department . In 1998 he was promoted to the professional team via the second team.
In January 2001 he switched to FK Dynamo Moscow . Due to several injuries and differences with the coach, he was part of the second team there from July 2006 and only helped out as a reserve player in the professional team. On August 3, 2007, his contract in Moscow was terminated. Even before the contract was terminated, he completed a trial training at Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where he signed a performance-related one-year contract on August 27, 2007. On December 19, 2007 he managed a brace in the UEFA Cup game FC Zurich against Bayer Leverkusen, which Leverkusen won 5-0. On February 2, 2008, he scored his first Bundesliga goal in the game against Energie Cottbus .
After only one year in Leverkusen, Bulykin moved to Belgium for the 2008/09 season to the record champions RSC Anderlecht .
The striker returned to Germany for the 2009/10 season and hired on loan from second division promoted Fortuna Düsseldorf . Bulykin made his debut for Fortuna in the DFB Cup against Hamburger SV . After the loan deal to Germany, the RSC Anderlecht loaned him to ADO Den Haag in the Eredivisie . At the club from The Hague, Bulykin started furiously and scored eight goals in eight Eredivisie games. Among other things, his seventh goal of the season was the decisive goal in the game against Excelsior Rotterdam when he scored 2-1 in stoppage time. By the end of the season, the attacker had a total of 21 goals, placing him behind Björn Vleminckx in second place in the list of top scorers in the 2010/11 Eredivisie .
After Bulykin played for Ajax Amsterdam in the 2011/12 season, he moved to FC Twente Enschede in the summer of 2012 . At the beginning of the 2013/14 season, Bulykin was initially without a club, after a year with Volga Nizhny Novgorod he ended his career as an active football player after the 2013/14 season.
National team
Bulykin played regularly for the Russian national team under national coach Georgi Jarzew . After his resignation, he was no longer considered. He scored a total of seven goals in 15 appearances, three of them in a 4-1 victory in the qualifying game for the 2004 European Championship in Moscow against Switzerland . He also worked for Russia in Portugal at Euro 2004.
