Dogs Eating Dogs received mostly mediocre to positive ratings from professional music critics in English-speaking countries. The EP on Metacritic achieved an average rating of 68%, based on five reviews from English-language media.
Simon Tauscher from laut.de rated Dogs Eating Dogs with three out of a possible five points. It is hardly noticeable “that the men have aged 15 years since the international breakthrough: neither musically nor thematically.” The band has “finally gotten the curve again. You are creative together and you can hear it having fun. A musical development is also unmistakable. "
