Geographical location

Dominek is located in Western Pomerania , about 17 kilometers east of Stolpmünde, 15 kilometers north of Stolp and 102 kilometers west of the regional metropolis of Gdansk .

history

The small village of Dominke, formerly called Demminke , emerged from a manor that was an old fief of the von Bandemer family . Around 1784 there was a farm in Dominke, three farmers, two Kossäts , two Halbkossäts , a forge and a total of twelve fireplaces (households).

Towards the end of the Second World War , the region was occupied by the Red Army in the spring of 1945 and soon afterwards, together with all of Western Pomerania, was placed under Polish administration. The houses and farms in Dominke were taken over by immigrant Poles. The German population was expelled due to the so-called Bierut decrees .

Dominek is now part of the rural municipality of Ustka and currently (2011) has about 120 inhabitants.

Parish

Dominke belonged to the parish of Groß Garde.
