Groß Plasten village church
The village church in Groß Plasten in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is a plastered central building erected in 1901 in a neo-baroque style .
construction
The church owes its existence to a dispute over the shared use of the Klein Plasten church . After the then landlord of Klein Plasten forbade the landlord, his family and the members of the Groß Plasten estate from sharing the use of Klein Plasten, the landlord of Groß Plasten, Herr von Michel, had his own church built.
In the tympanum above the gate there are figurines from the time of construction. The church treasures include a pewter baptismal font from the first half of the 18th century and a chandelier, originally from the Basedow church .
organ
The parapet organ on the west gallery was built in 1901 by the organ builder Wilhelm Sauer . The Kegelladen instrument has 6 stops on two manuals (C – f 3 , I. Manual: Principal 8 ′, Concert Flute 8 ′, Octave 4 ′; II. Manual: Liebl. Gedackt 8 ′, Aeoline 8 ′) and Pedal (C –D 1 : Bordun 16 ′), and has normal paddocks and a tutti train.

Groß Plasten is now part of the connected parish Schloen-Varchentin, together with the churches in Deven , Groß Dratow , Klein Plasten , Schloen and Varchentin . It is part of the Müritz church region in the Neustrelitz provost, Mecklenburg church district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .
