Building description

View from the west

During the construction mainly field stones were used, which were cut and partly layered in layers. The choir is straight and has not moved in. The remains of an added group of three windows can be seen on the east wall . The gable above is boarded up. The building is stabilized by buttresses made of mixed masonry at the corners of the choir.

The nave has a rectangular floor plan. On the north and south sides there are three pressed-segment arched windows, of which the one to the west was drawn significantly deeper. On the north wall there is a priest portal between the east and the middle window, which is likely from the construction period. On the south side there is a comparable portal between the west and central window.

The church tower takes up the full width of the nave on the lower floor and has a late medieval arched portal on its north side. Above it tapers and consists of a square attachment, which was built from half-timbering and then slated. On each side there is a small arcade of sound in the shape of a segment . Above is a curved tower dome , which ends with a tower ball and weather vane.

Furnishing

The wooden church furnishings mainly date from 1693. It includes an altarpiece decorated with festoons and acanthus . It is crowned by a cartridge , with a putto on each side . The altarpiece is lost. The pulpit is decorated with twisted corner columns and, like the sound cover, dates from the end of the 17th century. The neo-Gothic fifth was made of terracotta .

The building has a flat roof inside. On the gallery stands an organ that Gottfried Wilhelm Baer built in the 19th century.
